We had a balcony facing Campo Pequeno, which was fantastic to look at and lovely to sit on while dining. Our room also had its own bathroom and kitchen, with all the comforts of a hotel. Republica83 in Campo Pequeno is a great way to enjoy a Lisbon holiday without spending a lot. The employees were very kind and helpful. If we come back to Lisbon, we'll definitely stay here again.
It's easy to get around from here, with the metro, buses and trains close by, and the airport, grocery stores and a wonderful cafe nearby too. Our room was clean and the staff were helpful. The shower could be better for hot water and shower gel, and the fridge in our room smelled really bad. Still, definitely worth the stay.
The location is good, and the landlord explained everything and provided all the information. But room 803 smelled of smoke when I arrived. The windows were dirty, there was mold all over the shower, and the pillow smelled of sweat. The walls are thin and don't block much noise, so I wouldn't recommend staying here if you're sensitive to it.
All the transport is right at your doorstep, while the hotel stays away from the tourist crowds. It's our favorite unconventional hotel in Portugal. The common areas are excellent, everything is up to date, and the private balcony is great for an evening meal with a terrific view. If you're after a young, lively club scene, the bar around the corner stays busy until all hours.
We loved our stay. The place is very clean, well located and has everything you need. There's also a lounge where you can read or work, and leave your luggage on checkout day.
