Heart of Lisbon

The room was cramped, the facilities were a joke, there was no toilet paper, and one rule threatened a €20 fine for spending more than 15 minutes in the bathroom. The welcome was rude and uninviting. The guy seemed like he didn’t want to be there, had no customer service skills, and came across as lazy with no work ethic. This was the worst place I’ve stayed while traveling, and I only booked because everywhere else, including hotels, was full. The whole place is a disgrace and should be shut down. If I could get permission, I’d bulldoze it. I consider it a criminal enterprise. As a journalist, I’ll be submitting an article about it to The Times and then alerting interpol. I also think there may be money laundering going on.

We couldn’t even get sheets after begging for them, and the beds weren’t ready. My friends and I weren’t put in the same room. Mine had no key, and my friends were locked out after staff failed to check whether they were still checked in there. The bathroom had mold, the luggage drawers were broken, and some couldn’t even be locked. It was dirty and loud, and there was no hot water on the third floor. I could go on about how bad it was. The location and “low cost” just aren’t worth it.

Don’t believe the reviews on agonda or other platforms. This hotel was filthy and nasty. A very strange woman at reception couldn’t answer any questions and looked at me as if she might pounce. There was just one working outlet in the room. The other two were open-circuit. The bathroom was very dirty. I saw that someone mentioned bedbugs, but I didn’t check our bed. Don’t book here!

i stayed for a week with a friend, and the boss was so charming and always looked after us. that was the best part of the hostel!! it's right in the center, in a perfect spot. the worker really cares about guests' safety and noise, so it was a comfy stay. thanks!!!
