The restaurant was a highlight too, with attentive staff and lovely service. Breakfast was great, and you can order extra a la carte dishes that arrive in under 10 minutes. Everywhere in the hotel smelled nice and was very clean. The main street is accessible from both sides. I also want to thank whoever arranged the lovely champagne and anniversary card in our room. Madalena at reception and Manuel from concierge made us feel welcome from the start. I’ve stayed at a lot of Hilton hotels in the past five years, and this is one of the best for my style. It’s very clean and has a cool vibe. The layout across two separate buildings, with a nice garden between them, makes the hotel more interesting. We had an amazing experience, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The hotel’s location puts it close to many restaurants and sightseeing spots, and we enjoyed our stay. The included breakfast was good, with a standard American-style buffet plus omelets and other items available to order from a menu. The bar next door is set up for breakfast. The hotel is very new, having opened only a couple of years ago, and the staff were friendly. Our room was clean and nice, though a little small despite the upgrade. We stayed at the Duo twice on our Portugal trip. During the first few days, travel problems meant we arrived late. We’d requested early check-in but got there around the regular check-in time. Our room wasn’t ready, and we finally checked in about 30 minutes after the normal time. The hotel seems tied to the housekeeping staff.

Everyone on the team was lovely and the service was wonderful. Christopher at the front desk was always kind and helpful. Sumanga helped us with whatever we needed and made great suggestions. I can’t remember everyone’s names, but the evening restaurant staff gave us great recommendations and service, and the guy at the cafe was very sweet. The hospitality and cleanliness really impressed us, and it was the best hospitality I’ve experienced. The restaurant was fantastic, from the food and drinks to the service, and breakfast was delicious and impressive. Our stay at DUO Hotel was wonderful. The hotel and our room were beautiful and very clean, and the location made it easy to walk everywhere. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The location made getting around easy, with the covered market and plenty of restaurants right nearby, and the main square and city centre about a 10-minute walk away. We really enjoyed our four nights at the brand-new DUO Hotel. The rooms were comfortable and thoughtfully laid out, and breakfast included fresh eggs and pancakes at no extra cost, which is unusual for a four-star hotel. There was a maintenance problem in our room, but it was fixed quickly once we reported it. Checkout also involved some unnecessary complications. Those were small snags in an otherwise lovely stay, and we’ll definitely return.
