H10 Duque de Loulé

Limão Rooftop Bar was a real highlight, with sweeping views across the rooftops to the Tagus River. We loved having breakfast there and stopping for a sunset cocktail. The hotel has a beautiful mix of Portuguese character, including blue and white azulejos, and a modern boutique feel. It feels intimate and stylish, nothing like a standard chain hotel. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with lovely decor and cozy bedding, just what we needed after long days on foot. The hotel is just off Avenida da Liberdade, near Marquês de Pombal, so the city center is within walking distance, yet our nights were peaceful and quiet. From arrival to departure, everything went smoothly. The staff were welcoming and professional, always ready to help with a smile, and made us feel at home right away. We had a fantastic stay at H10 Duque de Loulé and would wholeheartedly recommend it as a base for exploring Lisbon.

The rooms have lovely design, but they aren't soundproof, which wasn't ideal. I also would have liked more lactose-free breakfast choices, or vegan options. The hotel's right in the heart of Lisbon, so the location is great. There is private parking, though it can be tricky to find, so ask the hotel for the exact spot.

The rooftop bar serves small plates and has a superb view across Lisbon. Our room had all the expected amenities and had recently been renovated, with fresh, light decor. Even the bathroom continued the blue and white tile look. The hotel has lovely seating areas, and the bar and dining room just beyond the lobby are bright, with mirrors and more blue and white touches. The decorative tile murals gave the place a charming feel. Staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived.

You can hear everything through the paper-thin walls, which gets irritating when other guests are noisy. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk into town, which was fine for us. The decor is stunning, the place is nicely done, and the staff were lovely. The rooftop bar was nice too, with tasty cocktails, especially the bloody mary.
