Hall Chiado

The location looked good and the rooms seemed fairly clean at first, but our two-night stay turned regrettable fast. After the first night, I woke up with one or two welts on my ankles and didn't think much of it. By the second morning, my whole family had bites all over our legs and ankles. Thankfully, we were checking out, just in time. Sleep was difficult for another reason too. It was loud, with nightlife and lots of people out on the street into the early hours. There are better places to stay in Lisbon.

It's a small, clean room in a good location, basic but enough for a city stay. Still, for the price, there's not much: no fridge, and just a small window facing a narrow backstreet. It feels heavily overpriced, and clearly doesn't live up to the 4 stars shown on Google.

The staff made a big difference here. Communication at check-in was great, they helped with check-in and check-out arrangements, and held our luggage. Everyone was attentive, professional, and genuinely keen to make our stay pleasant. I can't thank them enough. We loved the little lounge by the entrance, a cozy spot to read or play a board game. The hotel's central location made it easy to get to Lisbon's sights, restaurants, and lively neighborhoods. It felt like a handy base for exploring. Our room was cute, clean, warm, and comfortable, with thoughtful decor and furnishings. The balcony was perfect. This charming hotel felt like a welcoming home away from home, and we had a memorable stay.

The room was small, as we expected, but it suited us for a short visit. It was clean and comfortable, and we slept fine. You can hear hallway noise and the pinpads beeping when night owls come back, as others have mentioned. We liked the security of needing a code to enter both the building and our room, and the water in the entryway was a thoughtful touch. The area felt central and safe, and we could easily walk all over Lisbon.
