Hotel Lis - Baixa

The wine bar downstairs was a highlight for us, especially the appetizers, and the location made this a great base for our first Lisbon trip. The room itself was very small, with bedside tables barely large enough for a phone, though the bed was comfortable. It was dark in both the room and bathroom, which did make it easy to nap. One tip: take an Uber to the airport, as it costs much less than the hotel shuttle.

Good value for the money, and the hotel is in a great spot. The reception staff were exceptional. You can hear pretty much everything from the room, though, and the toilet paper is a bit rough, haha.

We were in the old town, handy for both the metro and cruise terminal. The breakfast downstairs was a lovely European spread and came included. Our room faced the elevator, but we heard no noise from it or from the street, and the soundproofing was excellent. The staff were efficient, professional, and friendly. We’re especially grateful to Beatriz and Ana, who got documents we’d left at the hotel to us at the airport just in time.

We could walk to the main sights, and cafés, restaurants, shops, and public transport were all close by. The room was roomy, clean, and had plenty of amenities. Staff were helpful and friendly, and let us leave our bags until the afternoon. Definitely recommend this comfortable, convenient place in central Lisbon.
