I was asleep when a woman came into my room and started speaking loudly to another guest. She should have asked him to leave and spoken to him outside. When I asked her to go out or lower her voice, she said she’d give me my money back and I should leave. She doesn’t know how to communicate with guests or run a hotel. She opens doors and enters rooms whenever she wants, which is unacceptable. I was so upset one day that I didn’t stay there for the whole day. It was a truly bad experience. Stay away from this hotel.

They rent out rooms where people can look inside, a type of place unfortunately quite common in Lisbon called “double appartments.” They should be reported. Because of this, I started having problems with some boys stalking me, and the trip became a nightmare. Be very careful if you’re a woman travelling alone in Lisbon.

When I finally managed to speak with the manager, I got no answers or solutions. I’d tried contacting the property for more than seven days, while there was still time to change the dates and ask for a refund, but got no reply or help. I ended up paying for both reservations. Booking.com says the property replies within 24 hours, but that wasn’t true. Don’t count on a response to your requests or you may lose your money. The lack of communication felt like a way to avoid changes or refunds, with no thought for guests’ circumstances. I had a reservation but didn’t use it because the experience was so negative. The manager treated me inappropriately and handled the hostel badly. The place should be inspected before it’s advertised on your platform, and should have a complaint form. It shouldn’t be listed if it doesn’t comply with the law or communicate with staff and customers in a minimally respectful way. When I arrived, the hostel was hard to find because there was no sign on the door, and the property was in disrepair. The manager wasn’t there. A cleaner was handling check-in but couldn’t help me. When I tried speaking with the manager, he was disrespectful and aggressive, talked over me, and raised his voice. He also wouldn’t give me his name or a complaint form, saying they didn’t have one. Other people at the entrance were also having trouble reaching the person in charge. Please take this situation into account and improve the service offered on your platform. Booking.com should remove the claim that the property responds within 24 hours because it’s misleading. Travelers, read the reviews carefully. It may be one of the cheapest options, but people like me can waste time, money and the chance to enjoy their trip. In my opinion, it really isn’t worth it, and the person in charge should be held accountable. Sincerely, a customer who paid but didn’t even want to sleep there because of the person in charge’s bad attitude.
