Hotel Ikonik Lisboa

There’s no bar in the hotel itself, but the place next door is the same chain, and guests can use its bar and shared outdoor space. We had an Aircon problem on the first day, told the front desk the next morning, and they sent an engineer while we were out. Can’t fault the service, and I’d say it should be listed as a 4 star hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room had stunning water and bridge views, and although the hotel is close to the airport and Trainline, we barely heard anything inside. It’s handy for Lisbon’s business district and oceanaria de Lisbon, with an easy short commute to the old town on the bus, by cab or by train. Rooms are very clean, the beds huge, and the hotel has a great ethos around the environment and reducing plastic waste.

Breakfast was included with my EasyJet break each morning, and it was an excellent start to the day. Reception staff were very helpful with a metro map and useful tips. It’s only a short walk to Orient Metro Station. I was there briefly, but enjoyed the great room and panoramic views over Lisbon, along with the striking photography on the walls. If your room faces the rail tracks you might hear some noise, though it didn’t disturb my sleep.

Nice and clean, and decent for a short stay. It’s a fair way from the city center, though having a metro station nearby helps. Breakfast was average, and on some mornings even basic things like butter weren’t available.

The location was excellent, close to both the train station and Vasco da Gama shopping center. Check-in and checkout were very quick, and my room was great and quiet. I got the second floor, which was fine, though I would’ve preferred a higher floor for a better city view. The shower was spacious, with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and moisturizer provided. Breakfast was nice and warm.
