We loved the lively lobby and the rooftop bar and restaurant, and there are plenty of good places to eat within an easy walk. The hotel is also in a great spot. The shower was the one letdown: its glass divider is barely 18 inches wide, so water kept spraying out.

SEEN Lisboa upstairs was amazing, and the service throughout our three January nights was exceptional. Laylana at breakfast and Alfonso at the concierge desk especially stood out, thanks to both of them for making things more pleasant. The room itself was fine. We were out most of the day, but when we came back during construction, the daytime jackhammer noise was annoying. Our neighbor was also very loud on the phone and when talking to other people. Since our room connected to hers, maybe a room without a connecting door would have been quieter.

The breakfast buffet had lots of choice and looked lovely, and we enjoyed dinner and drinks in the relaxed lobby bar with its nice music and excellent service. We also had a fantastic meal at Cervejaria Liberdade. Pedro and the team gave us great recommendations there. At Tivoli Avenida Liberdade, we were upgraded to a roomy space that was comfortable and quiet, though it had no view. The décor is elegant but feels a little corporate, and could use personal touches such as fresh flowers. What really made the stay was the service. The entrance team handled our luggage and guided us to check-in warmly and professionally. Everyone we spoke with was fluent in Spanish and English, which made us feel welcome, and Pedro at reception made a particularly polished first impression. We felt well looked after and would recommend the hotel.

After a day out enjoying Lisbon, we came back to our room to find cava chilling on ice and a lovely chocolate cake. Both tasted delicious. My wife had mentioned to our breakfast server that it was my birthday, so thanks to that server, guest relations manager Rafael Gomes, and the pastry chef for the thoughtful surprise. The location was wonderful and the staff were great.

I was there for a conference for a week, and the staff made a strong impression. They left little treats each day, like chocolate and wine, which made the stay nicer. My room was quiet and comfortable, and breakfast was plentiful and excellent. The hotel sits on a lively avenue but is still close to the historic quarter, which was handy. A craft fair was on Friday afternoon too, just right for picking up souvenirs. Highly recommended.
