A pleasant, affordable place in a good location. They were kind enough to store our bags before check-in and after check-out, which I really appreciated.

Our room had no windows, as other guests have mentioned, so it got warm. There was a fan, which we used to push the hot air out. Sharing one bathroom among four rooms was a bit inconvenient, especially in the morning. Still, it’s very cheap, clean, well located, and has everything you might need, including kitchen access. I’d stay again if it suited the trip.

The bathroom was shared by at least eight people on the floor, and I’m currently waiting outside because someone’s taking a very long shower and I need to pee. I paid extra for a bath, but it turned out to be shared and didn’t even have a plug. What’s the point? The hairdryer is shared among at least eight people and kept in the “dining” area. There are only two cups in the kitchen, and the first aid box was empty. They should be honest about what’s actually provided instead of dressing it up. If it’s a hostel, call it 8hostel, rather than making it sound like a hotel or guest house.

The street-facing side is noisy, and how it feels also depends on the people sharing your flat. We came as a family with three kids, but although our reservation was for a family, they split us across different apartments. That left our children staying with complete strangers, and raising the issue changed nothing. It’s a building where apartments have been converted into rented individual rooms, with shared kitchens and bathrooms. Traveling alone might be bearable, but you can’t know what it’ll be like beforehand.
