The staff tried their best, but the place was far from a paradise. Cigarette smell hung around all day, and the mattress was so worn we could feel its springs. The windows might as well have been nonexistent, with a gap between the sides that let in street noise. Most of the equipment was old and dirty, and even the toilet wasn't stable. Even if you're travelling on a tight budget, spending a couple more euros for somewhere less crappy would be doing yourself a favour.

For €18, I had a single room and could use the shared bathroom, kitchen, and fridge. The location is good, and the managers are friendly, though they could improve some things. It’s no paradise, but it may suit you if you’re traveling on a budget.

I paid for two nights, but the place was so disgusting that I chose to sleep at the airport on the second one. It was dirty and very noisy, with broken, filthy furniture. After taking your money, the person in charge was nowhere to be found when you needed help or anything else. The other guests were refugees, and I felt they showed no respect for others. I also felt the person took my money, didn’t speak Portuguese, and was a scammer from Nepal. I wouldn’t recommend staying here to anyone. Horrible, not worth even a quarter of a star.

For €20, you get fewer rules and can have tea or coffee. It’s a private house converted into a hostel, rather than a typical hostel or motel, and the downside is that it’s less hygienic.

The mattresses were fine, but the twin room is right by the main entrance, so it was very noisy.
