Management was incredibly unhelpful, and my AirPods were taken by a staff member during our stay. The night before our flight home, I noticed they were missing and checked Find My. Their location showed a completely different part of Lisbon that I’d never visited on the trip. They disappeared on my last full day in Portugal, which felt especially concerning and strategic. Coincidence? I don’t think so. I was certain I hadn’t taken them out of the room, since they’d had no battery the whole trip. I called the night shift management line right away. The man was the rudest I’ve ever dealt with, dismissed my concerns, and basically told us we were cooked when my partner and I explained we had an early flight. When I said I’d go to the police in the morning, he replied, “Okay, go do that then,” and hung up. I was left in tears and shocked at how we’d been treated. In the morning we called again, and a representative came to the room. We explained that we suspected housekeeping, but he immediately tried to talk us out of it, saying the housekeeper didn’t even live in the part of town where the location showed. We asked him to at least speak with her, since she was downstairs, and he reluctantly did. She admitted the AirPods were at her home. This was about an hour before I had to rush to the airport. The manager paid for an Uber for the housekeeper to go get them, while I waited. Management kept saying it must have been an accident, that she’d confused my AirPods with hers. Eventually I got mine back, fully charged, even though I know they’d been dead. How does someone accidentally mix them up, take them home, charge them, then bring only her own pair to work the next day? And why was I treated so badly when staff had taken my belongings? Later that day I got an email saying the housekeeper had been terminated, but that doesn’t make up for the drawn-out process I had to go through just to be taken seriously. I’m not usually a Karen or picky about things like this, but this crossed a line even for me. Lisbon Serviced Apartments was awful. The surrounding area felt shady too, especially as a woman walking back at night. Even locals at nearby restaurants told me it was dangerous. My stuff was taken by hotel staff, and management was incredibly unhelpful.

The room was cozy and nice, with clean bedding and a great kitchen. I really appreciated the staff member who helped when I got stuck at the self check-in machine.

The location is central and convenient, the room was clean, and the kitchen had the basics, including plates, cutlery, and tea. The room itself was nice, but I can’t recommend the place because of the service. I had trouble with virtual check-in and called for help. The person on the phone was hostile, rude, and unhelpful. That’s a terrible way to begin a vacation, and being abusive over the phone is completely unacceptable. A little professionalism could have made this place much better.

The best part was the housekeeping. The cleaners went above and beyond every day, and we always came back to a clean room. After we complained, David (Property Manager) also replaced the rusty bathroom mirror the next day. Those are the main reasons I’m giving two stars. We booked a studio for 5 nights, hoping for a nice view of Lisbon and a quiet stay just outside the centre. Customer service said there was only one studio of our grade in the building, so they couldn’t move us from a ground-floor room with metal bars over all the glazing. Only one window wasn’t blocked off, and we couldn’t open it because of the noise. We barely slept, with street noise and people above us. The location made my partner and me uncomfortable. To get to the centre, you have to walk through a very rough neighbourhood, with extreme homelessness and substance abuse as you go down the escalator. I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable walking there alone at night. Inside, we could hear every footstep above us, loud stomping and chairs moving all night. I bought earplugs and could still hear it. There was no privacy at any hour, with people walking right outside all the doors and windows, as well as noise from the apartment above. The bathroom had mould and rust in various places and a foul sewage smell. The check-in entrance was hard for other visitors to find because there was no directional signage. On average, two sets of guests would try our door, and we had to keep redirecting them. It made us uneasy, since we thought someone was trying to break into our room. We wouldn’t stay here again.

The apartments are near the centre and lots of restaurants. Our room was spacious and clean, though I found the shower a little small. Check-in and checkout were smooth, but the digital room key costs an extra 12€.
