The breakfast was generous and tasty, and we especially loved the homemade hummus they served on our second day. We asked if it could be served again on our last morning, and they kindly did. Breakfast officially ends at 10 am, though there was still food available when we came down at 10:30, so they’re flexible. The women on staff were all very friendly and did their best to help with questions. Our room, sheets, and duvets were spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. The guesthouse was clean throughout and sits right in the heart of Lisbon. We stayed from 6 to 10 May 2026 and were very happy with our visit. The old building has no lift and the stairs are steep, but after everything else, that didn’t matter much. Thanks again for everything.
Breakfast was a feast, and the staff were friendly and really engaged. I’d have liked another vegan choice besides hummus, though. The location is perfect for exploring Lisbon, and I’d recommend staying here.
The stairs are a challenge because there’s no lift, but I’d still come back. The rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the location is great. What made Lisbon Story Guesthouse memorable for me was the people working there. Everyone we met was kind, knew their stuff, and was fun to chat with.
We were only in Lisbon for a short visit, and the guesthouse’s central spot made it easy to get around. It’s just off the square by the national theatre, with lots within walking distance. We had a private room and shared bathroom. There was just one other room on our floor, and we never heard anyone using the bathroom. Our first-floor room was beside reception, but we couldn’t hear anything from there either. We arrived early, and Beatrice at the front desk was lovely and got us checked in ahead of time. She went over breakfast and gave us maps and plenty of ideas for things to do. The room was fine for us since we were mostly out exploring, with fresh water, towels, and an extra fan that came in handy. Breakfast had a nice range of bread, cereal, and cold cuts. We left early to explore on our last day. When we went back to the airport that evening, Beatrice had arranged for our luggage to stay there until then. Other places I’ve used have only kept bags for a few hours. All the staff were lovely, but Beatrice was especially helpful and friendly. We’ll definitely be back!
The location puts you right in the heart of the city, with plenty around, and we had great cocktails next door at night. Getting in and out with the access code worked perfectly. I’d recommend this place if you’re okay with a few drawbacks. There’s no A/C, and it was quite warm when we stayed, so a break from the heat would’ve been nice. There’s also no lift, which meant carrying all our things up two flights of stairs. The small place doesn’t have enough room for everyone at breakfast, so they bring a buffet to your room. It wasn’t ideal for us since we don’t like wasting food, though each of us got more or less what we wanted. Five stars 💐
