Mesa e Casa Encantada

The two big terraces on either side were a highlight, with lovely views across Lisbon. The apartment has two bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a bathroom, and the couch can be used as another bed. I think it's best for three or four people, with couples in the bedrooms and someone sleeping on the sofa. I stayed here from 8-14 April and was glad to find a place so close to the city center. The only snag was finding reception. There was no sign at the entrance or inside the building, so it took some figuring out. For anyone staying here, reception is on the 7th floor, while the apartment is on the 8th and top floor. OBRIGADO! Until my next booking.

Those two terraces would be lovely to sit on in spring or summer. It's a cozy little penthouse, and a great place to stay.

There are lots of good places to eat nearby, and shops are just around the corner. The apartment has two rooftop terraces. The airport isn't far, so you have to be okay with hearing planes. We got used to them pretty quickly.

The two large terraces face north and south, and from the apartment on the 8th floor you can look out over Lisbon's rooftops. There's a supermarket a short walk away. Inside, there are two bedrooms, a living room with a sofa bed, and a TV in each room. The kitchen has everything needed, though the single bathroom has to be shared if the apartment is full. Getting the keys takes a little effort: ring the bell on the 7th floor, take the elevator up to collect them, then go up another flight of stairs to the apartment. The main drawback is the airport flight path right overhead. With a south wind, planes take off over the apartment; with a north wind, they pass above on approach, which is a bit quieter. Bring earplugs. Plane spotters might enjoy it when the wind is from the north. June 2018
