Hotel Miraparque

The staff made us feel welcome, and breakfast had a nice range of food. The kitchen staff were friendly too. I heard one of them speaking Portuguese, English and French. Our room was tidy and very clean, with a lovely view of the park across the road. The metro is a minute away, and the city center is a short walk. The gym isn't really a full gym, but there's enough equipment for a workout, and the view from up there is amazing. I enjoyed the stay and would come back and recommend it.

Right beside Parque metro station, with a big green park across the road, the location is excellent. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, and the staff are professional. Breakfast is good for the price, with cured meat, eggs, cakes, fruit, cream, juice and coffee. The clean rooms have older furniture and air conditioning. There's also a free mini-gym on the roof.

The front desk staff were polite and helpful, and the room was clean, tidy and comfortable. But despite what the website described, ours was small for three people, with too little space for us to open our suitcases at the same time. The bathroom felt dated, and there wasn't even a shower curtain.

We had what we needed for our four-night stay in these basic but comfortable rooms. The beds were very comfy, and the minibar prices weren't outrageous. Check-in went smoothly, and the gentleman who greeted us was welcoming and polite. Parque metro station is only a two-minute walk away, with a lovely park across the road. The city center is walkable too if you don't mind hoofing it. We booked room only and ate out most mornings, so I can't comment on breakfast. There are some lovely cafés and restaurants nearby. A couple of times my friend and I were woken in the middle of the night by the bin men. That's not the hotel's fault, but it's something to know.
