Moxy Lisbon City

It’s a bit farther from the city centre than most hotels, but still walkable if you’re up for 20+ minutes each way. Ubers from here were extremely affordable. The area felt safe, with a police station nearby. The staff and bartenders were amazing, and happy hour seemed to run all day and night.

The staff made our stay a highlight of our last Lisbon trip. Everyone was friendly, polite, and helpful, and during our almost two weeks there, it was lovely to be warmly welcomed whenever we came back at the end of the day. We got to know a few staff members, and they recognized us too. The rooms were nice and clean. We left for a short three-day trip to Madrid and the staff kept our luggage safe. We generally felt safe around the hotel, and I remember seeing a police station nearby. We had to Uber to attractions, but that was fine. Restaurants and grocery stores were easy to reach. I really liked the vibe and would come back. It’s a hip, modern hotel with a family-stay feel. This review is long overdue, but that kind of service deserves a mention.

This feels like a hostel with hotel prices. The staff were kind and lovely, and helped with all our requests, including finding alternative parking and getting extra TP. When we went down to the bar for ice, there were a few little pastries for guests to help themselves to, which was nice. Still, the price didn’t feel worth what we got, and the Moxy format isn’t for me. The rooms felt fairly worn out and had no desk, chair, kettle, or mini fridge. At 150 euros a night, it wasn’t particularly cheap. Other local chains like NH, H10, and Eurostars offer better value.

The family room had plenty of space, with a large shower and a firm bed that suited us. We also liked the hotel's cool vibe, and the welcome drink tickets came in handy later that day. Miguel made check-in quick and easy, and was friendly throughout. We stayed one night after getting off our cruise, took an e-bike tour, and found the bus stop just a short walk away. Glad we picked this place.
