My Story Hotel Rossio

The room, bathroom and location were all good and convenient, and breakfast was good too. The facilities were fine, but the service left me disappointed. I asked for cups and a female staff member gestured at me like a traffic police officer, which came across as rude and unprofessional. She then ignored me and kept talking to other staff. I was quite shocked, and that attitude seriously affected my stay.

The room was quite small for what I paid, but the location was the highlight. Right opposite Rossio square, with lots of shops and restaurants around, it was an excellent base. The staff were all great, especially Diana, who was really kind and friendly. I had a great stay.

Our room on the second floor had no working AC. With the window shut it was stifling, and with it open we got only a little airflow along with a lot of noise from the Rossio location. The hotel advertises air conditioning. We were told it had only gone out in the past hour and would be fixed within a couple of hours, but other guests told us the next morning it had been out all week. It felt like they’d clearly lied to us. We only managed to sleep after being moved to a higher room with AC at 1 a.m. The breakfast quality was pretty rough too. Avoid at all costs.

It’s been over a month since my free cancellation, and I’m still waiting for the €260 refund. You don’t respond to emails or WhatsApp. I absolutely do NOT recommend booking through your website.
