There were plenty of shops and restaurants along the streets, so there was a lot to browse and try. It was a lively area that was easy to explore on foot, and the pleasant weather made a leisurely stroll even nicer.

The Rua Augusta Arch is a real highlight, with panoramic views over the city. Rua Augusta itself is a lively pedestrian street running between Praça do Comércio and Rossio Square. There are cafés, shops, and street performers along the way, and the mosaic pavements make it a lovely place to wander. It’s full of charm and history, with a vibrant feel.

A pleasant street, with lots of very nice shops and restaurants. Since it’s a tourist area, prices are higher than on the back streets.

A fun, lively pedestrian street in Lisbon, with nice shops, restaurants, food, and drinks. Lots of tourists and street performers, and a great vibe. There are other pedestrian streets around too. A few people beg and some stalls sell imitation goods, but it still feels like a classy, enjoyable experience.
