Palacio Ludovice Wine Experience Hotel

The room lighting wasn’t the best, probably because of where the room was positioned. Even so, I’d still recommend this hotel 10000%. It’s gorgeous, and everyone on staff was friendly and ready to help. The hotel itself is stunning, the bathroom in our room was beautiful, the bed was so comfortable, and the bar and restaurant were lovely too. It was my partner’s birthday while we were there, and Tamires deserves a special mention for helping with my surprise, including blowing up balloons and much more.

The in-house restaurant was very good and more than fairly priced. I tried what I think was artichoke soup with truffle, a really creative dish. The only weak spot for me was the lack of a wellness or pool area. This small boutique hotel has a soothing atmosphere, carefully decorated rooms, and a homelike feel while you’re in Lisbon. Service is discreet but attentive. Thanks to everyone for being understanding and willing to help. Absolutely recommended!

The Port Wine Center for Lisbon is inside the hotel, and Jaimes was incredibly helpful and full of useful information about Port. The food and drinks were fantastic, too, and the dining room and bar were pleasant, though less thoughtfully decorated than the rest of the place. The front desk team and doorman seemed young and a bit inexperienced, but they were still helpful. The hotel sits between Chiado and Principe Real. If you’re ordering, ask for guidance; some of the unusual options might turn out to be favorites.

The staff and the building’s history made this stay special. We loved the wine tasting with Bruna, and every staff member seemed to know something about the property’s past. They were friendly, helpful, and full of good recommendations. The room was beautiful, with old-world touches alongside modern details, and everything was clean and well cared for. Small comforts added up, from the vanity kit, shower cap, and oral care supplies to the nightly treat, bottle of port, and evening turn-down knock. We were there for our seventh wedding anniversary and my husband’s 45th birthday, and had a magnificent week from arrival through the Uber ride to the airport. We’d absolutely come back. The place was stunning and comfortable, and the staff alone deserve five stars. The five-star reviews tell the story; some people just can’t be pleased and hold back a star for a silly reason. Enjoy your stay.
