The hosts were kind, quick to respond, and easy to reach throughout our stay. The apartment was clearly looked after, and all the details seemed planned with guests in mind. It was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed. Everything matched the description, and in person it was even better. We were four people, so the two bedrooms and two bathrooms worked perfectly for us. I've stayed in plenty of Airbnb and Booking.com places over the years, and this was one of the best. We'd happily come back. We absolutely loved it.
The apartment was spacious, had good Wi-Fi, and came with plenty of useful things, including a drying rack, toaster, and first aid kit. There were also coffee, herbal tea, cookies, chocolate, and a bottle of red wine. The location was pretty good, about a 15-30 minute walk from most landmarks. Still, it doesn't really meet the “premium apartment” level. It's an old building that's been remodeled, with no elevator, steep narrow stairs, no proper balconies, and a terrace looking over nearby roofs. Bars around it make nights noisy, which explains the earplugs they provide. Our three-bedroom place had just two tiny bathrooms. I'd have preferred less space between rooms to fit another bathroom. Some towels and pillow covers were dirty, and the washing machine was in poor shape. We only found the kettle and toaster on our second day.
We each had our own room, which worked well for the three of us, and the place was really clean. Credit to the cleaners. The location was perfect for us, with a great viewpoint right across the road and shops and bars nearby. It's central Lisbon, so there was noise, but it didn't disturb my sleep. I'd stay here again on another visit.
It's loud here until 3:00 AM every night. Bar-goers take their drinks outside and fill two streets, with loud laughter and shouting on top of the usual bar noise. You have to pass through the crowds to reach the building, and they spread right up to it. The bedroom windows are new and have wooden shutters inside, but the noise still disrupts two of the bedrooms. Bring earplugs if you decide to stay.
The roof terrace was a nice extra, and the apartment was well located. It worked great for our group of five, with a full kitchen and a washing machine, and was nicely equipped.
