The rooms were good and the location is great, with lots of restaurants and bars around. If you're looking for nightlife, it could suit you. We knew there were bars nearby, so the drunk shouting from the street was something we should have expected. You can hear people talking outside very clearly, and things stayed noisy until about 2 a.m. The construction starting at 7 a.m. was the real problem. After that, getting more sleep was impossible. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who needs quiet or a good night's rest. Better sound insulation, or even free earplugs, could have made it worth four stars for us.

Right in the middle of Bairro Alto, with the bohemian feel of Lisbon all around. The apartment is simple, but it's clean, comfortable, and has what you need. We loved it.

The apartment and the service were both great, but sleep was another story. The busy street noise came right through, and even earplugs didn't block it. If you're happy staying out till 4 a.m. with loud lads and screaming girls drinking 5 euro cocktails, you'll probably be fine here.
