Residencia do Norte

The location is good, and the room and bed linen were clean, but our stay was pathetic and I didn't like it at all. During the heat wave, we had no power for most of the days and for a night or so. When the electricity did come on, a small table fan wasn't enough for a room of three. Staff said it was the electricity board's fault, but if they're earning from guests, not having a generator is their responsibility. Nights were noisy because there was a pub right across the narrow lane.

The complimentary tea options were delicious, and there were some excellent restaurants nearby. Our room was spacious, with a balcony overlooking the street, and the bathrooms were big too. It was quiet, quaint and adorable, but we could still rage on the streets below.

The noise reminded me of parties in Chicago, but the location was a great choice. The place felt beautifully relaxing, and Victoria was a perfect host, very sweet and considerate.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, though the facilities could use an upgrade. Keep in mind this is right in the middle of the party neighborhood, so noise can carry on until around 3am.
