The street view was the one thing we liked. We had reserved two separate beds through Booking.com for five nights, but left after just one because we weren't comfortable staying there. The room smelled bad as soon as we walked in. There were old stains on the carpet, the metal beds felt unsteady, and the very thin mattresses and pillows made them uncomfortable. They squeaked with even a small movement. The furniture was old, the bathroom didn't seem properly cleaned, the curtain was torn, and the balcony door was damaged and hard to open. There was also just one outlet, so charging two phones at once wasn't possible. Breakfast was included, but the quality was very poor. We tried to raise the problems while we were there and asked for the manager, but the receptionist said the manager wasn't available. We were given a business card and told to email or call. We emailed and contacted them on WhatsApp too, but got no reply. The stay fell short of basic cleanliness, comfort, and customer service.

It’s near the metro and cheap, and that’s about where the positives end. My colleague’s second-floor room looked nice and matched the online photos, but mine was cramped, oddly L-shaped, with a single bed and a tiny bathroom. Check-in was supposed to be at 2, but my room wasn’t ready until 3. The lift was broken, so we had to use a small service lift that only reached the seventh floor. I was on the eighth, and the hotel has nine floors. The toilet started leaking on the first night and flooded the bathroom, soaking the carpet. I reported it the next day and was told someone would fix it, but they just turned off the water. Once it was back on, it leaked again. A staff member gave me towels and told me to come back tomorrow. The same thing happened the next day. On day three they moved me to the sixth floor, where the room was even tighter: the door hit the bed after opening a third of the way, the desk was basically a shelf, and the wardrobe was about 10 cm deep. The shower looked like it belonged in a prison, the emergency alarm cord had been cut, and the bath mat had mold. The shower in my first room had poor pressure and temperature too, and the only outlet was under the desk, far from the bed. There was barely anywhere to store anything, just a wall hook. The place is old and falling apart, nothing like the photos. Staff were pretty useless, and they refused to refund anything. When I asked for compensation, they told me to apply through Booking.com, but wouldn't put anything in writing for evidence. I asked for a manager and was told they only come on Mondays. Booking.com contacted the hotel, but they denied the refund. Booking.com gave me some credit, though it was less than one night’s cost. Breakfast coffee tasted burnt and was nearly undrinkable, but there are plenty of nice cafes nearby. Next time I’ll pay more to stay somewhere that seems to care about its guests. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

At 100€ a night, this was easily the worst place I’ve ever stayed. The balcony had dozens of old cigarette butts, and the smell kept coming into the room. I also found the smoke alarm right above the bed, its green light blinking all night, which made sleeping impossible. The room was cold in winter with no heating, and there was no hot water for three days. Reception said they couldn’t do anything about it. The hygiene was awful. Towels described as clean had hair and blood stains. At breakfast, I was served a boiled egg that smelled rotten and had dark spots. The shower was rusty and barely usable, the carpet had stains from suspicious liquids, and moisture was dripping from the walls as paint peeled away. Doors wouldn't close properly because of the damp. It felt like the building was rotting and could be a health hazard. I paid extra for a double room but got two separate, uncomfortable beds pushed into a tiny room. There was only one power outlet, far from the beds. None of the breakfast staff spoke English, and no one offered help or a solution. When I asked for the official complaint book, I had to write at the very end, which made me think there may have been many complaints before mine. Calling this a “Residencial” is misleading. ASAE should inspect it. The place felt unsafe, unsanitary, and disrespectful for the price. Save your money and your health, and don’t stay here.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Front-facing rooms on the eighth floor have roomy balconies and good views of the area. There’s no restaurant, but breakfast is served buffet-style in a room on the third floor.

For a bed and breakfast in downtown Lisbon, this felt like a great find. Parque station on the blue metro line is right across the street, and parks, restaurants, and souvenir shops are nearby. It was about 17 minutes from the airport, breakfast was included, the price was affordable, and the service was great. I stayed in a single room, so the room was tight and the bathroom even smaller, but I didn't mind. I was lucky to find a room and check in the same day.
