I slept decently thanks to the comfortable beds, and the location is great. The rest of the experience was disappointing for the price. Staff mostly seemed indifferent, the corridor carpets were dirty, and the furniture looked old and worn. There was no natural daylight in my room, and the walls are so thin you can hear everything. The place needs refreshing and better upkeep to live up to its potential.

The worst part was the noise. The rooms aren’t soundproof, so you hear people in other rooms, and with the airport nearby, flights go over about every three minutes, day and night. A good night’s sleep just isn’t possible. It’s an old hotel with tiny rooms, only really OK for a solo traveler without luggage. There’s barely room to move without hitting a wall or furniture, and the toilet is so small it’d be difficult for a fat person. The lift is the slowest in town. Breakfast is OK, but the menu is the same every day, and they don’t provide complimentary water bottles. I really wanted to salute the hotel’s designer... :)

Getting around Lisbon was easy from here. It’s close to the Pombal statue, with a supermarket about 200 metres away. If you’re taking the hop on hop off sightseeing bus, stop number 1 is right there. The lift is very small, maybe enough for four people, but I was happy with it. A very good hotel, and I enjoyed my stay.

The rooms were very clean, and breakfast was outstanding. Had a great stay.

There was noticeable damp in the room, and the windows kept whistling in the outside wind. With poor sound insulation, it was hard to sleep. The room itself was very small and uncomfortable, and the bed was poor quality.
