Santa Bica

The terrace was a peaceful place to have a drink, and dinner was solid. The grilled octopus was really tender. I’d pass on the couvert and order the tuna ceviche with beetroot instead, it was a little unusual in a good way.

The waiter was wonderful, though we never caught his name. We shared the Prawns "Al Ajillo", Stuffed Portabello Mushroom and Marinated Fresh Tuna, and all were delicious. The wine and dessert suggestions were spot on too. Such an enjoyable evening and a really excellent meal.

The food was all very good, especially the seared tuna and steak, and the service was great. My one concern was people smoking on the enclosed patio while the walls were down because of the weather, which made it feel like an indoor space. It’s possible the staff hadn’t noticed, and smoking may not actually be allowed there.

There’s a lemon tree growing right up through the floor, and a balcony looking over the street, which gives this little place a lovely atmosphere. Mum and I found it near our hotel when we were looking for dinner. We had a few tapas bites and delicious mojitos. The prawns were very garlicky, but still delicious.
