Santiago de Alfama - Boutique Hotel

The four nights I spent at Santiago de Alfama during Web Summit 2025 will stay with me. I’ll always remember the neighborhood’s charm and the special feeling of experiencing Lisbon through the hotel. That first impression and emotional impact are going to last. I work in luxury travel with OHH! Italy, so I’m used to high standards. Still, the warmth, care, and professionalism here stood out. From the start, the staff made me feel at home in an atmosphere that was genuine, beautiful, and refined. Everyone was kind, attentive, and professional. The way they combine human connection with excellence is something others in our industry could learn from. I appreciated the upgrade to a Deluxe Suite. The thoughtful culinary treats at both welcome and check-out were another personal touch that made the stay memorable. The team’s generosity, availability, and sincerity show a rare kind of class and professional humility. We’re developing OHH! Portugal now, and I hope we’ll get the chance to work together on meaningful experiences for our shared clients. I do have a few constructive notes and would be glad to share them privately so they don’t take away from the sincerity of this review. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Santiago de Alfama has a special place in my memories.

The hotel is only a few steps from the 28 tram line, and the location alone makes it a great choice. The rooms are really nice, and the staff were friendly throughout. Breakfast was excellent, with a menu to choose from each morning, and the bar had a huge cocktail list. Highly recommended.

The owner told us about the hotel’s history and the surrounding area, and treated us like family staying in his own home. The staff had that same warm, family feel. Fresh pastries were made each night for the complimentary breakfast, and the bartender mixed fancy drinks for us in the evenings. It set the bar high for the rest of our trip. This luxury hotel was fabulous. I almost want to keep it a secret, but you really have to see it for yourself!

The cocktails were the most balanced and high-end we tried in the city, and breakfast was delicious, with fresh, high-quality choices each morning. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring, making everything about our stay smooth and memorable. We stayed at Santiago de Alfama Boutique Hotel from September 25th to 27th, 2025. Its Alfama location is ideal, near charming streets, viewpoints, and authentic restaurants, while still peaceful enough to unwind after exploring Lisbon. The hotel’s design is beautiful and warm, and we felt at home right away. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped, with plenty of thoughtful details. Santiago de Alfama exceeded our expectations. We’d highly recommend it for a unique, intimate, charming stay, and look forward to returning.
