São Jorge Apartments Suítes

The location and space were good: the apartment was relatively clean, spacious, close to the centre and most attractions, and had good kitchen appliances. But our arrival was badly managed. We told the host we’d be delayed until 4pm and got there at 4:30, yet the cleaners were still working inside. They apologized several times and seemed embarrassed by the host’s poor management. We had to wait until 4:50. The host said the previous guest had checked out late. If our check-in was already delayed, how late had that guest been allowed to stay when checkout is 12:30? What would have happened if we’d arrived at our actual check-in time of 2:30? The host didn’t seem to care much, while the cleaners seemed more concerned. We also said several times that we didn’t need cleaning, but someone came into the apartment while we were out without our consent. The host didn’t properly explain why they entered without asking. After that, we felt very uncomfortable staying there.

The apartment was clean and comfortable, and the host responded promptly. It’s very central, just a short walk from the centre.

I had such a great three-night stay. The room was roomy and lovely, with kitchen-style amenities, a fridge, free Wi-Fi, and a smart TV for relaxing after a day out. The bed was so comfortable, probably the best sleep I’ve had in a while. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, plenty of hot water, good pressure, and a hairdryer. It’s easy to explore from here. I walked to many of the main sights, and the famous tram, metro, and bus links are nearby. The owner was helpful and available whenever I needed anything. I really couldn’t fault the place. We were impressed by the facilities during our four-night stay. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the linen was soft, the towels were good, and the apartment was cleaned daily. The kitchen was well equipped, so we cooked some meals with local produce. There’s also a nice terrace with sun loungers. The manager Jorge communicated well and made check-in smooth. He let us check out later without a penalty, and the cleaners and reception staff were helpful. The apartments are close to the city centre and popular spots including Rossio, Baixa-Chiado, Graça, and Praca do Comercio. The underground and train station and popular Tram 28 are right next door, with good cafés and restaurants nearby.
