The apartment is spacious and could suit a big family, and it was well heated in winter, which I appreciated since it was much warmer inside than in most countries in Europe. Still, it’s overrated and needs more care from the owner. We paid about 250 euros a night over New Year, and I don’t think it was worth it. Looking closely, there were lots of broken or missing things: a bathroom door knob, the sink stopper, and even a toothpaste cap in the drain. The shower head kept dripping no matter how tightly I fastened it. There was water left in the kettle from the last guest, and the tea box was half empty, like someone’s leftovers. It’s one option if you need space for a family, but I wouldn’t book it over New Year. At 250 euros a night, plus 25 euros in city tax for two people for two nights, it wasn’t worth the price.

It felt like staying in a castle, and the interior is something else once you get inside. My sister and I had a wonderful stay. The host was easy to reach on whatsapp and shared helpful tips. 10/10, would recommend!

We loved the little bars and restaurants just up the street to the right, and the location was great for us. The apartment is in a historic building and has been restored with lovely attention to detail. It was comfortable and had all the modern conveniences we needed. They’d also left port, berries, and a good range of breakfast items for us. I’d jump at the chance to come back.

The suite was elegant and comfortable, though a little tired, and made a good base for walking to many of Lisbon’s popular sights. The building’s green doors on a narrow backstreet look plain, but once inside, you go up marble stairs to one of just a handful of suites. Miguel was extremely helpful.

I honestly couldn't find a fault. The period rooms have been beautifully restored, there are all the amenities you need, and the location is great. Jackpot!
