TURIM Restauradores Hotel

The breakfast choices were broad and tasty, even if the dishes became a bit repetitive. I could still pick something different each day. The restaurant staff helped carry my plates to the table, which I appreciated. Reception also changed my room when I found out the original was on a mezzanine level reached by stairs, difficult for me on crutches. The new room suited my needs much better. Everyone was warm, polite, and smiling, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The hotel was clean and undamaged, drinking water was replenished daily, and housekeeping came every day. The spacious, comfortable lobby had soft background music, and there was a hotel bar for evenings. A lovely welcome treat of warm Portuguese custard tarts, “pastéis de nata,” was absolutely delicious. It’s on a quiet side street, close to the center and major sights, making a good base for exploring Lisbon. The stay met my expectations, and I have very fond memories of it. I’d gladly return.

The staff were so kind, and surprised me with thoughtful treats in my room. Breakfast had a great range of options as well. The location was unbeatable, just two minutes from the metro and an easy walk to lovely attractions and luxury shopping streets. I loved the whole stay, and the hotel made my Lisbon trip even better.

I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews. The hotel was clean and welcoming, right in the city center and close to famous sights. Breakfast was fresh and hearty, served at convenient times. Our room was quiet, clean, tidied daily, and stocked with what we needed. You’ll need to bring your own shower cap, toothbrush, and toothpaste. I visited with my father from 2-6.08.25. We received a welcome drink, chocolates, and biscuits, and I want to thank everyone who looked after us, from reception, bar, breakfast, and kitchen staff to the transfer taxi driver. I felt at home and safe.

The bugs were disgusting, and room 107 had several big cockroaches running across the floor. We had to step on them to kill them. The room itself was smaller than a walk-in closet, and the bathroom was barely usable for one person. The front desk staff seemed to hate their jobs, especially the young blond lady with glasses. All they offered was a different room, a small bottle of wine, and an apology letter. I would never stay at this roach hotel. Just thinking about it makes me sick. Avoid TURIM and anything in Portugal connected with this company.
