We spent a nice time exploring the historic centre on foot, with other districts close by. Typical Mouraria gave us the sightseeing location we wanted, right in the calm Mouraria neighbourhood and near the first stop for tram 28. Nobody bothered us, though we were cautious in the evenings. Seeing homeless people sleeping on the street near Martim Moniz Square and the local metro station was sad. The apartment was clean and pleasant, if not modern, and it was functional. We found it odd that there was no soap or dishwashing liquid and only a little toilet paper, since those had been standard in other Lisbon apartments we stayed in. Still, it was a small thing. We didn't use the living room sofa as a bed, so can't say if it was comfortable. ;) One practical note, our deposit was returned after four days.

Getting started was already a hassle because we had to collect the keys across town from the apartment. The listing was misleading about Wi-Fi, which wasn't available. It also mentioned round-trip airport transport for 7 euros, but the office knew nothing about it and couldn't tell us who to contact. The apartment was basic, as we expected, but the sticky floor and damp smell made it uncomfortable as soon as we walked in. There was no hand soap, the sink was clogged, and we only had a few shower towels. They'd provided just one fan and one radiator for the whole place.

The location is the apartment's main plus, right in the centre, with a distant view of Martim Moniz Square from the average bedroom. The kitchen and bathroom are fairly large, but both feel neglected and some things are broken, including the oven. We also had to collect the keys on the other side of the city, which took quite a while. Overall, the apartment didn't feel very pleasant.

It's right in the city centre, which is handy, though the area feels dodgy at night. Inside, the place was dirty, the bedroom window wouldn't close, and there was no real heating apart from a ridiculously small bathroom heater. There were even shards of glass on the kitchen floor. The shower barely worked, with more water coming from the hose than the showerhead. I contacted Homing, but nothing was done while we were there. With proper maintenance, this place could be really nice.

We were there as a family in December 2023. The location was convenient, close to everything, but it didn't feel safe. Inside, a strong musty smell made the apartment really unpleasant, and it was very cold with only a space heater. There was a kitchenette, though hardly any cooking utensils. Collecting the keys somewhere else was a pain, especially since we had to haul our suitcases on the subway to get there. Luckily, when we left, we could leave the bags on the table.
