VIP Executive Art's Hotel

For me, the location was perfect, but I still wouldn’t recommend this for a city trip or come back. Rooms feel like they haven’t been renovated in 20 years. There were rust stains in the shower, scratches everywhere, and the room wasn’t clean. The bed was uncomfortable. There’s no gym, though the water pressure was good. Some rooms are noisy because of trains. Staff weren’t friendly, and reception involved long waits. Breakfast was below average. At 160-180 EUR a night, it’s a joke.

The breakfast had a wide choice of cheeses and fruit, but the hot food wasn’t tasty. Staff weren’t client friendly either. Our room faced the railway station, and every five minutes it felt like we were living in the station. There was no chance of sleeping, and reception refused to move us. The photos don’t show the real rooms that face the walkway by the station. I wouldn’t recommend this place, even for one night. There are better hotels nearby.

I’ve stayed here several times, including during COVID, but sadly this will be my last visit. I was there for 10 nights, and the service in the dining area and in the room was excellent. It’s close to the boardwalk, though the hotel interior is tired and worn. My agency wanted to extend my stay by one night, but a web conference in Lisbon had pushed the price up by 600%, to 600€/night. I understand the hotel wanted to profit from the event, but that didn’t seem like a fair price for an extra night for someone who’d already stayed 10 nights and used full board meals and laundry. I moved 6 km away, where prices were still the same as the previous day.

This was a terrible experience. I accidentally booked for the wrong month, a month before my actual travel date, and the check-in was still more than a month away. They wouldn’t cancel, refund me, or make any changes to the reservation. They offered no flexibility or understanding at all. Be careful, I can’t recommend this hotel and will never stay here again.
