VIP Executive Saldanha Hotel

The breakfast spread was wonderful, and the rooms were clean and spacious in a great location. I did miss having a kettle so I could make myself a cup of tea. Special thanks to Andre, who made me feel welcome and was kind and hospitable.

VIP Executive Saldanha Hotel worked well as a clean, quiet base for my short trip to Lisbon. My room had what I needed and stayed in good condition with daily housekeeping. It's not a luxurious or memorable place, but everything worked and I had no problems. There's no restaurant, which suited me fine, and breakfast was simple but adequate to start the day. If you just need somewhere straightforward to rest between activities, it gets the job done without fuss.

The main drawback was the busy city area near hospitals, where police cars and ambulances can make noise at times. Otherwise, it was very good value, and I'd stay again even without a package deal. The spacious, clean rooms had good facilities, including a coffee maker, fridge, and large bathroom with a shower with good pressure and temperature. The beds were big and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and getting around was easy: the metro was a one minute walk away, a grocery store was two minutes away, and there were plenty of bars, cafes, and restaurants nearby.

The rooms were comfortable, but the windows didn't shut properly, so some street noise always came through. Breakfast was honestly poor, with cheap items and fruit that seemed to be reused day after day. I didn't touch it. Nothing was especially bad, but nothing was very good either. I've stayed at other hotels in the area and would look around next time. It was relatively cheap, but you get what you pay for.
