The house was large, clean and peaceful, with everything we needed. We experienced a tornado while there, and the house stayed standing. Anything we needed was taken care of right away, including extra pallets for the stove in the evening. Ottilia and John were very friendly.

We stayed in the larger chalet, which had everything we needed for a relaxed visit. The kitchen was properly equipped for making a meal, with a stove, microwave, cutlery, glasses, wine glasses, pots, and the usual household utensils. The neighborhood felt safe and residential, with beautiful houses all around, and the place itself was wonderfully peaceful. There’s no washing machine, though I didn’t miss having one. My only concern was the bathtub shower. It’s high to climb into and there’s no grab bar, so I found it unsafe. I think that should be addressed to help prevent someone slipping and getting badly hurt, regardless of their age.

A car is essential here. Luz is about a 25-minute walk away, and Lagos is 6 km by car, no more than 10 minutes. The apartment was lovely, in a small, family-run complex with at most six apartments and a pool on site. It’s wonderfully quiet if that’s what you’re after. We’d absolutely recommend it.
