Casa Mazulis

After Lagos, staying at Casa Mazulis was a lovely change. It was clean, quiet, and peaceful, far enough from the city to feel away from it, but not so remote that it felt like the middle of nowhere. The woman who seemed to be the owner was involved in running things and helpful with recommendations around town. Everything with management went smoothly, and I had a great few days. I’d definitely return.

João went out of his way to handle our extra requests, including getting us a softer mattress, and gave excellent service. Our privacy was always respected. The views were outstanding, prices fair, and the atmosphere was wonderful, surrounded by nature and quiet. I highly recommend staying here.

It was a clean, quiet, and pleasant place to stay. We got fresh sheets and towels every 3-4 days, and were welcomed with a bottle of water and a bottle of wine. We loved it and would highly recommend the place.

We were there in mid-June. The property was very quiet and nice, but I would NOT recommend apartment 4 to anyone. Despite the name, it’s really just a large room with a kitchenette. The woman who brings the snack bag showed NO RESPECT for quiet, knocking to tell us she’d left breakfast, which was very basic. Mosquitoes buzzed all night, so we had to buy two repellent devices the next day. The room was very austere, and the shower curtain took me back to Morocco 20 years ago. There was also an outlet with several wires coming out of it. It was clean, at least. The other apartments seemed to benefit from apartment 4 being there. NO TO APARTMENT 4
