The management company was very hard to communicate with, and because I left after just one night, I couldn't post a review on Booking.com. The apartment may look decent in the pictures, but in person it was a disaster. It's the building right beside the tennis courts on Google Maps. At night, dozens of cockroaches were all over the kitchen, which was revolting. I might have been able to tolerate the view, but planes taking off right next to the building woke me at 5 AM. This was the worst place I've ever stayed. Avoid it at all costs.

We had everything we needed: a balcony, roomy living area, comfortable bedroom and kitchen. We were completely satisfied with our stay, and I'd recommend the place to anyone coming here.

You really need a car here. There isn't much you can do on foot, and the location wasn't ideal for us. The apartment and kitchen were furnished very comfortably and had what we needed, but the place felt quite dark. Our windows and balcony faced the parking lot, where the sun only reached in the mornings in March. We had poor weather, and evenings got down to 10-12 degrees Celsius. There was no heating anywhere, not even in the bathroom, so we were cold and miserable indoors. The water pressure was weak, and a second person had to wait for the heater to warm the water again before showering. That took away from our holiday mood. There are two tennis courts and a tennis school just a few metres from the balcony. There was plenty going on right outside, and the children training there made it noisy. The airport is nearby too, but plane noise didn't bother us.

A handy spot for exploring the rest of Madeira, with the airport close by. The apartment was clean and had modern equipment, and free parking is right beside the building. Highly recommended :)
