Airporto Hostel

The owner is so welcoming and really tries to make your stay memorable. It’s a fantastic spot if you’re flying into or out of Porto.

I first stayed here when it was about 15 euros, and in high season it’s now around 46 😢. I can understand the increase, though, since it’s still good value for what you get and so close to the airport. I’ve always found it very clean, with lovely facilities, and the ladies are friendly and helpful. You can tell they care about the place. There are games and books in the shared lounge, and they leave toiletries behind from other guests for people to use. Breakfast is included, too. I was nervous about staying alone in a bunk room the first time, but I’ve always been the only person in my room and never had a problem. I don’t know whether there are cheaper places, but I’ve always come back here. I think there are now lockers under the beds, though I’ve never felt I needed one. It’s perfect for an overnight stop, about a ten-minute walk from the airport, and I’d recommend it 110%.

It’s a basic hostel, but very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is well organized, and there’s a lovely garden. The airport is about a 15-minute walk away, which worked well for my early flight, and the price was reasonable. There aren’t many shops or restaurants nearby, though that’s what you’d expect around an airport.
