The room was nice and clean, though there was no safe in it, and traffic outside was loud even with the window shut. Service was excellent, and breakfast had amazing coffee options. The hotel wasn’t as close to the airport as I’d hoped. The bus into Porto centre was very convenient, and I wish we’d taken it to the airport too.

The room could get quite warm on some nights. There was an air-con controller, but I was told the temperature had to be set centrally, so guests couldn’t adjust it themselves. Maybe that’s for energy efficiency, but it seemed odd. The staff were excellent, very nice and professional. Breakfast had plenty of cereals, breads and juices, plus some lovely Portuguese pastries. Eggs were about the only savoury option, along with mini Frankfurters that weren’t very nice. We had bacon just once during our seven days, which was a shame because it was really good. There’s plenty of free parking right outside, and the area is fairly quiet. It’s about 15 minutes from the airport, close to Matosinhos beach and seafood, with nice restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast was good, and all in all we had a good stay.

There’s a bus stop right by the hotel, which helps since the main Porto centre is quite far away. The beach is about a 15-minute walk. Staff were very nice and helpful, and breakfast was good.

The location may not suit you if you want to be close to the city centre. Still, the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom looked well maintained. Reception made a good impression: they let us check in an hour early, then kindly gave my husband plates and cutlery when our Uber Eats order arrived without any.

It’s a convenient option, with a 25-minute walk to the beach and Matosinhos, crossing the bridge. Breakfast is fine and enough for a continental meal, though there isn’t a wide range. I can recommend it.
