Hotel Estoril Porto

The staff were kind and accommodating when travel delays meant I didn’t get in until 1 am. It’s a clean, well-located hotel with good value, and the rooms are simple. I’d recommend it if basic accommodation is what you need.

We had a really comfortable stay, and the room had everything we needed. The reception ladies were lovely, and there’s a super cute garden at the back. It’s central to everything, too. Great hotel for the price. I saw some negative comments and don’t really understand all the complaints. If you want luxury, you have to pay a luxury price.

You can leave your luggage here while you go around the city. The views were amazing, the staff super friendly, and it was good value for money. Everything was great.

I should have paid more attention while booking. It’s hard to know what to look for when you don’t know a place, and after comparing a few options I think I chose wrong. Check the room size and view carefully. Rooms with city or garden views have windows, and some even have a balcony. The rooms without a view are on the top floor and only have a little window in the ceiling. There’s no elevator, which can make getting to your room difficult, especially with luggage. I wouldn’t choose the breakfast option. The food was very poor and the coffee had no taste. For 7-10 euros, there are lots of nearby cafes where you can get a delicious breakfast. I’d recommend walking a little farther to Hakko Cafe, which has excellent breakfasts. The room and shower were clean, and housekeeping came daily. The air conditioning worked well, and the location is fantastic, within walking distance of all the beautiful places in Porto.
