Stayed for two nights while doing the Camino. The rooms were spacious, reception staff were helpful, and booking direct was good value.

The staff are friendly, and the beach is about a 15-minute walk away. There are a few shops nearby. It was disappointing not to have a kettle in the room for a cuppa. The coffee machine dispenser takes cash, or you have to download an app and register to pay.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the vending machines in the lobby were a nice bonus. The place is very clean, and the staff are great.

We couldn’t sleep because of a constant high-pitched noise from the ventilation, especially at night. We changed rooms twice, but the noise was just as bad in both. At Hotel Amadeos - Matosinhos, the receptionist said he couldn’t help and wasn’t responsible for anything. When we asked him to call the manager, we were accused of somehow connecting our phone to the ventilation system, which was absurd. We then asked for the manager’s name and contact details, and were told he didn’t want to speak with us. No apology or compensation, just disrespect and ridiculous excuses. This is a complete violation of consumer rights. Avoid Hotel Amadeos at all costs.

Stayed two nights at the start of my Camino journey. It’s centrally located, with shops, bars, and other places nearby that you can walk to. 👏🙏
