Sefarad

The suites are spacious enough that I never felt claustrophobic, and the stone walls behind the beds give them a cool, rustic feel. Each one is named after a Jewish figure, a fitting tribute given the house's name and Jewish origins. The house itself is a refined, very modern country property in Medelim, also known as the village of balconies, in the municipality of Idanha a Nova. It has six suites, air conditioning, a fireplace in the entrance sitting room, and a kitchen with modern equipment. Outside, there are armchairs and tables among the flowers. A glass panel over the old well, uncovered by the restoration workers, adds an unusual modern touch. The building used to be a school. The Jewish name Sefared has its roots in the Jewish occupation of Medelim up to the 16th century. Just as a side note, my mother's family is from Medelim, and I know the house and its owners well. They have plenty of experience in this kind of business. I highly recommend this country house.

The rooms were good quality and everything was very clean. The service was excellent, and Sofia was friendly from the moment I made the reservation.

Everything was great. Too bad there wasn't any shampoo or anything like that in the bathrooms.

From the owner's warmth to how comfortable the different spaces in the house are, I can only say good things.
