Maria helped us plan special moments throughout the trip, from suggesting great lunch spots and sorting out itinerary details to helping with my proposal in the property's backyard. Her care and the whole team's warmth made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. The peaceful atmosphere, food, standard of living and overall luxury all went beyond what we expected. Even some of the best five-star hotels we’ve stayed at haven’t given us this level of hospitality or attention. The online photos don’t really capture the place, so I’ll add more after editing my post. Casa de Canilhas gave us memories we’ll carry for the rest of our lives. It means a lot to us, and we already know we’ll return many times. Thank you to Maria and everyone on the team for being so kind and welcoming.

The breakfast was the best, the views are stunning, and there’s a lovely pool. If you're driving, there’s plenty of parking and it’ll make things easier. We took the train to rede and walked up, but with bags in the heat it was a rough climb. There are taxis around that can take you up the hill. An absolute hotel gem.

The bathroom mirror was my one gripe. It sat too low, so I couldn’t see my face when standing straight. The rest was lovely, with a tasty breakfast, a nice pool and friendly, attentive service. The old building is pretty and well cared for, the area is peaceful, and the views are beautiful. All of that for a very fair price. We’d happily come back.

We came across this hotel spontaneously and were lucky to find a room. Had we known how beautiful the place was, we'd have stayed longer. The view and pool are lovely, and breakfast was especially good, prepared with care. The food selection could be wider, though that wasn’t a big problem. We had to use Google Translate because it would be nice if the staff spoke English a little better. Even so, it was a wonderful stay, and we’d recommend the hotel with a clear conscience. We’ll come back.
