The rooms are simple and small, but really comfortable, with basic cooking facilities if you bring food to make your own dinner. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the staff were so attentive. Spend the day by the lovely pool with a gin and tonic, then take your time soaking up the traditional Schist village's slower pace. There are photo spots everywhere, and it's fun to look for the tucked-away stone carvings. We enjoyed it beyond what we expected. Don't miss this place.

The house I stayed in was lovely, and the whole setting felt peaceful. Such a beautiful, relaxing place to stay.

Margarida was especially kind and accommodating, and we’d love to return. Mountain Whisper was spotless and comfortable, with lovely views and a great breakfast. We couldn't have asked for more, and really loved our stay.

They were so helpful after I realized I'd booked the wrong date, and took the time to send useful information about getting there beforehand. The house was modern, very clean, and comfortable. They'd warmed it up and left the lights on for us, too. The village is peaceful and beautiful. We'd come back to Mountain whisper in a heartbeat.

Casa Mãe worked really well for our family, with lots of room, a private spot to eat outside, and our own access to the pool. The bedrooms were nice, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the decor felt modern. Breakfast was served at the table by request rather than as a buffet, and it was very good and complete. The quiet village is lovely to photograph, with nature and animals all around. I suspect winter would be too cold. Supermarkets and restaurants are about 15 minutes away, so I'd bring groceries for a few days. One issue: they said we'd need to pay for a new TV remote because a corner was broken. That's fair enough if they're sure it was us, but we're not, and we didn't like the tone or being told by WhatsApp. We're still waiting to hear more. Aside from that, the staff were friendly and we had a good experience.
