The games room and lovely pool were a real treat, and the kitchen was great too. Our stay at Casa do Poço was amazing. The house is beautiful, spotless, and well equipped, with cosy bedrooms. Joana Martins was one of the kindest, most thoughtful hosts we've ever met, going above and beyond to make everything perfect. You can see the care and pride she puts into every detail. We loved it and will definitely return!
Joana's hospitality made sure we had an unforgettable stay. The historic house has been beautifully restored with every comfort, spacious rooms, and excellent bathrooms. Ours even had a hydromassage shower. Breakfast was fantastic, especially the delicious homemade jams 😋. We had a wonderful experience near Miranda do Douro. Thank you so much, Joana, we'll be back!
Joana and Henrique were such thoughtful hosts, answering all our questions and sharing useful information. We spent a fantastic few days at Casa do Poço (Ifanes) over the May Day weekend. The historic building has been fully restored, with lots of little touches that made it feel like home. It’s only a few minutes from the main places to visit, and after a day out we could use the kitchen and dining rooms for dinner or a game of pool. Many thanks to you both!
We were only there for one night, but the stay was lovely. Ms. Bautista Martínez was especially helpful, both with the accommodation and with tips about things to see. The old house is kept in very good shape, and breakfast was generous and delicious. A big hug, it was a pleasure.
The warm welcome at casa do poço and the quiet, pastoral feel of Aldeia de Ifanes made the trip even better. Miranda do Douro itself is wonderful to visit. The Douro International Natural Park has rare birds, including the red-billed chough, and the views from the different lookouts are breathtaking.
