The staff were friendly and helpful, and the site is ideally located for the city. But finding a level pitch was tough. Our motorhome is 9m long and has hydraulic levelling, yet we still couldn't get it level. The toilets and showers are old, though usable. I'd consider staying again because there's nowhere else as handy to the city.

I was very disappointed. The site was expensive, unclean, and generally poorly maintained. I paid €10 for one night, €5 for one person and €5 for a small car, and slept in my car. I wouldn't recommend this campsite. Don't rely on the reviews, especially ones from local guides.

The setting is excellent for visiting the Duoro Valley, with lovely views across it. At €20, the motorhome stay included electricity, waste disposal, fresh water, showers, and toilets, so it was good value. The cafe is small, but a cat was helping itself to food left on the tables when I arrived. Worse, the toilets were filthy and looked as if they hadn't been cleaned in days. There was no toilet paper or soap in the dispensers. I don't expect to return soon.

A really affordable place with spacious pitches, lovely views, and, best of all, real quiet. One of the better campsites we've visited in our campervan lately.
