The setting is quiet and a great place to unwind with family or friends. The pool area has a lovely view, and you can have dinner outside with food cooked on the barbecue. The house is also laid out thoughtfully, with comfortable, welcoming spaces and beautiful decor. It suits a lively group too, since noise won’t bother the neighbors. I highly recommend it. The property has a lot going for it, and the owners are extremely friendly and welcoming.

We first stayed here in August 2021, when we were lucky enough to be the first to use this fabulous place. We loved it so much that we came back this year for a few excellent family holiday days in a five-star space. The house is beautiful, decorated with wonderful taste, and has everything we need. The landscape around it is spectacular, and the pool is top-notch. But it wouldn’t have been quite so perfect with different hosts. The owner’s service was fantastic, and the house is carefully maintained. It’s well placed in a very quiet area, just minutes from the center of Monção, and works perfectly for families with children. The weather wasn’t good during our stay, which was a shame. We’d love to return in summer to enjoy the pool and outdoor space.

The Rio Minho is on the horizon, just a few meters from the house, and the Monção cycle path runs nearby for walking or cycling between Valença and Monção. The place is in a lovely, peaceful corner of Lapela, with a great view over the river and Torre da Lapela. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, and always reachable in case anything came up. We were welcomed with two excellent local products. The accommodation is pleasant, tastefully decorated, well equipped and very clean, with a wonderful pool. We had a lovely stay and would like to come back someday.
