Jessica made our stay especially lovely, and the cakes she baked were a hit with my kids. We spent about a week and a half at Casa da Ladrera, a beautiful property in a beautiful Aldeia. I’d definitely recommend booking it.

The house itself was okay, but the bed was uncomfortable and it was too noisy. Breakfast was a letdown: there was no bread or anything from the nearby villages, just supermarket jam. With so many good local products available, it felt like a real missed opportunity.

The bedroom has lovely traditional details, including carefully made embroidered bedding, and the website photos are a true reflection of the place. Jessica welcomed us with a cake of the day, and we could enjoy it by the fireplace. She was warm and thoughtful throughout, and made sure the varied, delicious breakfast was just right. The setting is wonderfully peaceful, and the accommodation itself is beautiful. We found it hard to leave. Sistelo, with its restaurants and walks offering incredible views, is about a 15-minute drive away.

The house is beautifully set in a picturesque spot, with elegant decor and everything impeccably clean. Her enthusiasm for doing the job well adds something special to a place that already makes you want to come back.
