Casa Alentejana

Such a beautiful spot.

There's a lawn outside with a small pool that's great for relaxing, though it's too small to swim in. The neighbors were very friendly, and parking was easy. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, and there were some Delta Q coffee capsules for the machine. The rustic house has a double bedroom with a raised child's bed, plus a bathroom with a shower and a living room-kitchen. That kitchen has a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, electric hob and hand blender. There's also a folding bed in the living room that can easily fit another child. Since it's out in the countryside, the usual insects are around, which might bother someone who's afraid of them.

It's wonderfully quiet and a great place to unwind. The house is unusual and sits in a splendid setting, with all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. Our host was very friendly and helpful. There aren't any shops nearby, just a café that only opens from 11 a.m.

Right next to Lago do Alqueva, it's a wonderfully peaceful place to recharge without stress or traffic. If you enjoy the countryside and quiet, I highly recommend it.
