At 12€ a night, you get what you pay for. The bathroom has no fans, so sometimes the ceiling drips after someone showers. It could be cleaner, but the staff are great, and the location is great too. Overall, it’s okay.

There’s a full kitchen, and the place is very central, close to the main metro stations and lots of the main attractions. It’s nice, though there’s no elevator, so you might have to climb several floors. There’s no air conditioning, just a fan. We kept the window open, which let mosquitoes in.

That first bedbug encounter is the part I won't forget. I've just killed a second one, and it burst with someone else's blood. I know they're hard to avoid, but proper bed linen instead of just a fitted sheet, and perhaps essential oils when cleaning rooms and washing linen, might help prevent them. Hopefully this was my first and last time dealing with them. The staff were friendly, and the kitchen and common hangout spaces were good. The location was almost too convenient: my second-floor room faced the street, where foot traffic and restaurants were noisy. Even after the restaurants closed, garbage trucks came through and people kept walking and talking loudly. I'm writing this at 1:45 a.m. The huge windows had to stay open to get any air, so fans or air conditioning would make a big difference. I'm off to try to get some sleep. Nighty night, don't let the bedbugs bite.

If you want somewhere peaceful, this place is ideal. It's an unusually quiet hostel, and you hardly see anyone around. The bunk beds were good, too. The location is great, though the place could use remodeling and more bathrooms. One bathroom just isn't enough.
