Breakfast was a letdown. The choice was just ham, cheese, jam, and cereal, which didn’t meet our expectations. The rooms were clean and had everything necessary, though the bed wasn’t very comfortable. Service was very professional, friendly, and helpful.

The rooftop terrace is huge and has a great view, and there’s a large pool with a nice little garden. Our room was better than it looked in the pictures. The lake is close enough to walk to, and the water was warm enough for a night swim under the stars. The hotel staff were very friendly and had lots of insider tips about the Alentejo region. Thanks!

The terrace has a lovely view of the castle, monseraz, and the lake, and there’s a local bar and restaurant nearby. There wasn’t much else going on in town, and most restaurants were closed, so we only had one option for eating out. The rooms were nice, breakfast was good, and we got a warm welcome from the friendly staff. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

A quiet, relaxing stay in great Alentejo style, and I’d come back one day. The location has fantastic views over Mourao castle and lovely corners of Alqueva Great Lake. Staff were extremely friendly, and breakfast came with the price. The rooms were clean and had AC, which really matters in this heat.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but when we arrived, none of the staff spoke any English. It made it really hard to understand each other, which was a shame.
