The beach is a bit of a walk, about 20 minutes on foot, but the Guesthouse was lovely. It was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable. The owner was extremely kind and showed us around the city on a giant map, explaining it as we went.

The 15 minute walk to the crowded beach gives you a nice break from the action in Nazare. Fika guest house itself was spotless and newly renovated, with great breakfasts. Veronica, the owner, is lovely, capable, caring, kind, and so thoughtful.

We had two lovely days in Nazare in mid September. The weather was ideal, and it wasn’t too crowded like it might be in Jul-Aug. Veronica is thoughtful, considerate, hard-working, and nice to chat with, while her Mom helps with the day-to-day running of the place. I highly recommend Fika Guest House. Veronica offers rates with or without breakfast. I’d recommend choosing breakfast if the timing works for you, it starts at 8:30AM.

There’s a small outdoor terrace where you can sit, and the wifi is excellent. The place is clean and cosy, with a small kitchen that has a washing machine. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and you feel welcome.

We had a great time at FIKA’s. The place was clean and comfortable, and Verónica was a thoughtful, caring host who paid attention to every detail. We’ll definitely come back!
